Now that the weather is switching we say goodbye to our Karon House Reef for a couple of months where we conduct most of our beginner diving courses and dive off the daytrip boats instead.

The courses today were conducted at Koh Racha Yai and the divers had a wonderful day with visibility recorded at around 15 meters. The cost per 2 dive daytrip for certified divers to this picturesque island is around 2900 baht excluding equipment rental costs. Transfers, light breakfast, lunch and refreshments included.

This year we celebrated the Thai New Year – Songkran – at The Ruam Thep Inn on Karon beach. After the morning dive off our Karon House Reef we joined in the festivities.

Phuket Scuba Club Members Monique Raniolo and her daughters India and Georgia kindly brought us Easter eggs and a beautiful Figola cake all the way from Malta. The cake was baked in the form of a fish and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

After the diving of the day off our Karon House Reef, Instructors Johnathan, Alexia and Carla as well as Divemasters Steve and John assembled their groups to cut the cake and share the feast.

Ringo!

Another lovely photograph of the Phuket Scuba Club logo fish, the Juvenile Emperor Angelfish. This little shy fellow was seen yesterday whilst our divers were diving around our Karon House Reef off Phuket.

Because of our location directly on Karon beach we conduct these local shore dives everyday during the high season months. There is an abundance of small marine creatures and the cost for a shore dive starts from 1000 baht. These dives are ideal for those who do not want to go diving around Phuket on our daytrips or Liveaboard cruises.

This last cruise was great and the divers were pleased as they saw Mantas on 5 different dives, 4 white tip sharks apart from the usual abundant marine life. Also Stephan was caught underwater promoting Phuket Scuba Club.
