Whew this is thrirsty work!

Whilst we enjoyed our beverages at the club the ladies opted for a night dive off Kata Beach last night. Instructor Lauren with Divemaster Candidate Theresa introduced Advanced Course student Farah to her first night dive. Farah completed her Open Water Course so much that she immediately signed up for the Advanced Course. It seems like she is yet another student who has been bitten by the bug!

Happy Songkran!

Yesterday we celebrated our 3rd new year this year….the Thai New Year which is called Songkran. This is one of our favourite Thai festivals as we love getting wet one way or another.

Much fun was had by all as usual, starting with a morning dive along our Karon House Reef, followed by a second dive just in time for a late buffet lunch in between the water fights.

The highlight of the day was when Lauren caught Alex fast asleep with a huge bucket of cold water. He was exhausted after his first two sessions on the streets. Trust him to think that nobody would notice his sneaky little nap!

Best Buddies!

Advanced Course student Alex recently had the pleasure of buddying up with this gorgeous Hawksbill turtle whilst diving at the West of Eden dive site located at the world famous Similan Islands.

During the high season months we arrange diving tours on these Liveaboard cruises to The Similan and Surin Islands located north of Phuket. We offer boats for all budgets ranging from basic, to medium and luxury style class.

For those who are not certified Advanced divers we offer this PADI course with Phuket Scuba Club on the cruise at a discounted rate of 8900 baht.

En route to Koh Pu....

During our high season months apart from the daytrips and Liveaboard cruises we dive everyday at our local dive sites located only minutes from both Phuket Scuba Club branches. Yesterday’s dives at Koh Pu (Crab island) from our longtail boat was superb with loads of marine life for buddies. These half day dive trips off Karon and Kata beaches are ideal for those who do not want to go out diving for the entire day. Prices starting from 1000 baht for a shore dive and 1500 baht for a longtail boat dive (excluding equipment).

Welcome to Scott and his dive buddies Gerald, Bruce and Richard from the U.S.A. They all live and work in Taiwan and managed to escape for a week of solid diving around Phuket and The Similan Islands. Gerald, Bruce and Richard completed their Nitrox Course with the club today.

Happy Divers!

December is during our peak high season and the club is happily busy with enthusiastic divers scuba diving off Phuket. At this time of year apart for our daytrips and Liveaboard cruises we also offer shore dives and longtail boat dives with prices starting at 1000 baht per diver. These local dive sites off Phuket should never be underestimated as they certainly do offer a healthy variety of marine life ranging from Robust Ghost Pipefish, Seahorses, Turtles, Honeycomb Moray Eels to the usual Wrasses, Cuttlefish, Lionfish, Puffers and Bearded Scorpion fish.

For access to these sites we simply kit up at our Karon beach scuba club branch which is located directly on the beach, walk a few meters into the ocean and go for a dive. How easy is that?
